Portland tenor saxophonist and composer Dusty York is rising voice in jazz today.Coupling unique and creative improvisation, with a high level of prolific composition,York will be certain to mark his spot in the upcoming jazz world. Son of well-known Portland tenor saxophonist, Michael York, Dusty started playing tenor in his teen years and quickly began finding his place in jazz, studying with both his father and John Gross. His groups feature a distinct sound, very energetic performances, and all original compositions. His recording career began with the trio recording "June diva", followed by the quartet recording "A State Of Secession Volume One", featuring his father.
